Communications campaigns and political strategy
about me
I’m a passionate believer in the power of using communication tools to achieve social good. After 17 years working for top campaigning charities, communications agencies, and some of the world’s best-known companies, I now work as a freelance consultant.
I’m passionate about building the social change necessary to live in a world where everyone has a voice, a vote, a decent standard of living and an inhabitable earth.
work
I’m an adviser to the Centre for Progressive Change, and an associate media director with Creative Campaigns Agency Small Axe
In 2023-24 I’ve worked on a range of projects, from a national campaign on free school meals, to supporting climate negotiations and experts at the COP28 conference and World Bank meetings, through to supporting non-profits in political campaigns and engagement programmes during the UK General Election.

My CV
Before going freelance I was Head of Communications at Citizens UK, and advised on campaigning communications to its sister organisation the Living Wage Foundation.
Prior to that, I was Head of External Affairs at the Trussell Trust, in a period where foodbanks dominated the news agenda; my team dealt with and created thousands of stories in a single year.
I spent four years at one of the UK’s top public affairs and relations agencies, where I worked for both start-ups and global brands including Google, Vodafone, Coca Cola and Universal Music.
Earlier in my career, I was a constituency organiser, then a national organiser, leading a team of 12 staff.
Now, I work in a broad-based campaigning communications capacity, advising non-profits and social purpose businesses which are working with marginalised communicates.
I’m passionate about building the social change necessary to live in a world where everyone has a voice, a vote, a decent standard of living and an inhabitable earth.
